Paul
Rhines was born and raised in southern California's San Fernando
Valley, a suburb northwest of Los Angeles. In the Early 1970's
Paul's family moved to an exclusive area known as Tarzana
Hills. This move would prove to be a life changing experience for
Paul.
You
see, a few days after moving into their new home Paul discovered
that his next door neighbor was one of televisions biggest stars,
James "Dano" MacArthur of "Hawaii Five-O" fame. Upon enrolling in
his new school Paul was quick to discover that one of his
Schoolmates was Susan "Cindy Brady" Olsen of "The Brady Bunch" fame.
A short time later one of Paul's uncles, Frank Walsh, a successful
Real Estate Developer, was in town for a family event. Wanting to
impress him, Paul told his uncle that he went to school with a
celebrity and
that he had met h er
and talked to her. His uncle asked him a very pointed question:
"What did you learn from meeting her?" This question stumped Paul,
he replied "Um, I Don't know." "You don't know?" His uncle repeated.
"Tell me Paul what did you say to her when you talked to her?" "I
told her that I really like her on TV and asked her for her
autograph." Paul's uncle then explained the following. "You wasted
an opportunity to learn something. That young lady is unique and has
proven that she, above all her competition has a definite quality
that makes people like her. Her performance abilities are also
noteworthy. When you asked her for her autograph you traded the
opportunity to learn something and stand out from all the other
people she meets, for a piece of paper with her name on it. "Tell me
Paul, where's the autograph now?" "It got washed with my pants." "So
now you have nothing."
He
continued, "You live in an affluent area and you are surrounded by
many very successful people; you will no doubt make contact with
many of them over the coming years. I would recommend that you try
to benefit from these meetings by learning something from them. I
want you to go to your room and write down 10 questions that you
could ask an outstanding achiever that would cause them to teach you
something with their reply. When you have 10 questions bring me the
list and ill help you pick the best one." The question they chose as
the best was... # 7
"To
what one thing do you most attribute the achievement of your
noteworthy success"
For almost 30 years Paul has asked some of the worlds greatest
successes from all walks of life, that very question.
Find out what their answers all shared in common and how they can
help you achieve greater success in this exciting new program from
Paul Rhines.
